Melati Lum is the author of the <em>Ayesha Dean Mysteries</em> series for middle-graders, and a former criminal law prosecutor of major crime, with pieces published in Liminal Magazine (Haunt Anthology,) and SBS Voices (Australia). Under Melby Rose Publishing, she has published the debut middle-grade novel by Annie McCann, <em>My Harimau King</em>, and is currently adapting one of the Ayesha Dean novels into a manga (release due late 2026). Melati is an alumnus of Faber Writing Academy (2023- Australia), and in 2024, she was shortlisted for the South Australian Literary Fellowship.
