Harrowick brings to Authors Against Abuse more than two decades of industry experience as a web developer, graphic designer, and brand manager for both global companies and independent businesses, showcasing her expertise with marketing, email campaigns, and server systems. She has experience with Seattle-based nonprofits including Committee for Children and The Pink Daisy Project. In education, she spent several years teaching technology skills to both adults and children, alongside her work with deaf and special needs children. In her other life, she’s a fantasy and science fiction author, telling grimdark stories of female empowerment with Bloodflower Light Beyond the Glass. As a once-homeless single mother, she has a particular empathy for single parents struggling to raise families, and for the needs of the invisible parent who strives to explore personal growth and development in the face of adversity.
