H.M. Joinville

H.M. Joinville holds a BA in Creative Writing from Southern Illinois University and a Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) from San Jose State University. She spent five years as a bookseller, has worked as a school librarian, and currently serves as a content analyst and blog writer for Readex, a primary-source educational publisher. In this role, she curates historical newspaper databases focused on research topics such as voting rights, LGBTQ+ life in America, and immigrant life in America. She also writes historical blog posts using her research and archival expertise. Her blogs have been cited by the My Favorite Murder podcast and the William & Mary Bill of Rights Journal. Additionally, she has worked in genealogy for several years and completed the ProGen Study Program in 2022. My poetry has been featured in Bookends Review, Best of Bookends Review 2020, and Athena Review. My short story "The Lucky One" appears in WriteHives Surviving Humanity Anthology. I am currently editing my debut novel.
